A new large variable delay optical buffer based on cascaded Double Loop Optical Buffers (DLOBs)

Abstract

A novel optical buffer bases on cascaded DLOBs is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. This buffer can provide large variable delay range of 1-999 times of the basic delay unit and be dynamically reconfigurable within nanoseconds.
