Demonstration of 120-GBaud 16-QAM Driver-less Coherent Transmitter with 80-km SSMF Transmission

Abstract

We demonstrated a driver-less coherent optical transmitter enabled by a low-Vπ high-bandwidth thin-film LiNbO3 I/Q modulator. We successfully transmitted a 120-Baud 16-QAM signal with net data rate of 836.2 Gb/s over 80-km SSMF.
