Multi-Fiber Cylindrical Ferrule for Remote Rotary Optical Fiber Switching

Abstract

We devise a multi-fiber cylindrical ferrule for a rotary optical switch. We design the ferrule to achieve the equivalent loss to a conventional optical connector, and show the optical switching properties of the fabricated ferrule.
