An Operator’s Approach on the Coexistence in Future Optical Access Networks (Invited)

Not Accessible

Abstract

Main challenges of coexistence of future access transmissions are detailed. Important tradeoffs are identified: wavelength plan for triple PON coexistence, optics for high optical budget, considering OOB and SRS penalties. Multiplicity of technical implementations for PtP and PON transceivers are against future interoperability.
