Low-Cost 100G Coherent PON Enabled by TFDM Digital Subchannels and Optical Injection Locking

Abstract

We demonstrate a novel 100G TFDM coherent PON architecture featuring low-cost ECL-free ONU enabled by remote optical carrier delivery through injection locking. System performance shows no degradation compared to a regular ECL based system.
