Pilot-Aided Continuous Digital Signal Processing for Multiformat Flexible Coherent TDM-PON in Downstream

Abstract

To avoid burst-signal processing in downstream transmission during modulation-format switching, we propose and experimentally demonstrate a pilot-aided DSP scheme with continuous SOP tracking, carrier-phase recovery, and channel estimation in 300G flexible CPON based on 4/16/64-QAMs.
