Abstract

We demonstrated a highly sensitive underwater acoustic wave detection by incorporating 3D-printed sensing elements in phase-sensitive Optical Time Domain Reflectometry (φ-OTDR), giving rise to one-order of magnitude enhanced signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).
