Transfer learning for temperature predictions in sensors employing fibre Bragg grating arrays

Abstract

The feasibility of transfer learning is experimentally demonstrated by accurate predictions of temperatures of FBGs excluded from the training process with SMSE in the 103 range even for FBG peak powers around -30 dBm.
