In-Fiber Twist Sensor Based on Off-centered FBG in a Two-Mode Fiber

Abstract

An in-fiber twist sensor based on point-by-point-inscribed off-centered FBG in a two-mode fiber is demonstrated. Twist sensing over a range of -180° to 180° is achieved with a reflection-based system.
