A Novel Technique for the Fabrication of Infrared Irregular Polygon Scanner

Not Accessible

Your library or personal account may give you access

Abstract

An irregular polygon scanner used in infrared systems has a number of plane mirror facets which are tilted at a variety of angles with respect to each other and also to the rotational axis. As the faces do not possess angular symmetry, it is difficult to manufacture irregular polygons in a block. Only methods available for mass production of such polygons are replication or single point diamond turning. Due to individual working of irregular polygon, the production cost also becomes very high.
