Abstract

Monolithic Lenslet Modules (MLM's) were originally developed at Adaptive Optics Associates, Inc., more than ten years ago for use in Hartmann wavefront sensor systems. They were used to form focal spots on a two-dimensional detector array. Image processing techniques were employed to locate the centroids of the spots providing the local slope measurement of the input wavefront.1 Advantages offered by MLM's include fill factors in excess of 99% and off-axis diffraction-limited performance.
