Investigations on Post Processing of a 3D-Printed Aspheric Lens using Ultra-Precision Diamond Turning

Abstract

In this study, an aspheric lens is fabricated using a polyjet 3D printer. The samples are then post-processed by a diamond turning process to enhance surface accuracy up-to sub-micron level and transmission quality more than 80%.
