Abstract

The development and application of IR focal plane array detector accelerate the study of IR multichannel dispersion devices. IR miniature linear variable filters (LVFs) are important dispersion component which has been developing in recent years. [1-2] The assembly, which is made up of miniature IR LVFs and HgCdTe array detector, is a new type of IR array detective devices. Using the device can simplify the optical system of multi-spectroscope detective instruments, enhance the reliability and stability of multi-element array detective instruments, and can minify the detective instruments which will be made easy to be carry about. The more important point is that it can differentiate different spectrum radiation, can detect multi-spectra radiation speedily and simultaneously. It has very important affect in the study of space, oceans and land objects and research of background radiation. This paper consists three parts: the design and deposition of 8-14µ miniature IR LVFs; the method of assemble the miniature IR LVFs with miniature HgCdTe array detector; and the method of measure the optical spectra property of the assembled device.
