Abstract

There is growing interest in the development of materials and devices that can be used for electrochromic "smart windows".[1] Up to today, most of EC devices include a counter-electrode(CE) layer. This CE layer should have such characteristics: the mixture conductor of ions and electrons. In transparent EC devices, it also should have little absorption. In our Lab, we use V2O5 as CE layer.
