Artificial anisotropy and polarizing multilayers

Abstract

One dimension sub wavelength gratings made by holography induces artificial anisotropy in thin films. Polarizing coatings or polarization rotators are designed to work in normal incidence by inserting such microstructured films in multilayer structures.
