Colour Control and Metamerism Using Ti in Metal-Dielectric Colour Coatings

Abstract

We demonstrate a four-layer thin-film design for colour coatings using Ag, SiO2 and Ti. This stack is used to generate coating pairs exhibiting angle metamerism, which appear identical at one viewing angle and different otherwise.
