Magnetic Gold Nanorods for Contrast in Magnetomotive Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)

Abstract

We propose plamonic gold nanorods decorated with magnetic iron oxides for modulating polarized OCT signals. We show that signal modulation depends upon the direction of the applied magnetic field consistent with a magnetic trapping model.
