Retroreflector-In-Space for Japanese Satellite ADEOS: Earth-Space-Earth Laser Long-Path Absorption Measurements of Atmospheric Trace Species

Abstract

Laser long-path absorption spectrometry is one of the most sensitive methods for measuring atmospheric trace species. This method can be used for measuring extremely low concentration trace species which cannot be detected by single-ended differential absorption lidars.
