Sensitivity of Atmospheric Retrieval Schemes: Results Utilizing High Spectral Resolution Simulations

Abstract

The remote sounding of the atmosphere to retrieve temperature and water vapor profiles has been the subject of a number of papers (Chahine, Smith, etc.). In this paper we present the results of a study to determine the effect atmospheric properties have on the retrieval of temperature profiles.
