Spatial Sensitivity of Frequency-Domain Dual-Slopes in Heterogeneous Media

Abstract

Dual-slope measurements of amplitude or phase in frequency-domain near-infrared spectroscopy are preferentially sensitive to deeper regions in the homogeneous case. Monte Carlo simulations investigate the impact of heterogeneity on this result.
