Evaluation of Barcodes Reveals Ligation Biases between the Terminal Bases

Abstract

Barcode-independent biases accompany with the application of barcodes in high throughput sequencing. We evaluate two types of barcodes on a sequencing-by-ligation platform. The results suggest that terminal bases of barcodes tend to influence ligation.
