Photorefractive incoherent to coherent optical conversion with KNbO3 crystals

Abstract

The high sensitivity of photorefractive materials is very convenient for real time holography and image processing. All optical spatial light modulators using the photorefractive effect have been proposed by different authors1,2,3. These devices can transfer incoherent images to coherent laser beams.
