Abstract

We report the first observation of self-pumping¹ in Ba_.5Sr_1.5K_.25Na_.75Nb₅O₁₅ (BSKNN-III) and Sr_.6Ba_.4Nb₂O₆ (SBN) with Cerium in 9-fold coordinate sites. Phase-conjugate reflectivities on the order of 20% have been observed from both crystals along with relatively fast response times. The observations reported here were carried out at laser wavelengths of 647 nm and 676 nm.
