Stable Wavelength Cell Switching with Tunable DBR-LD Employing Shadow Tuning Technique

Abstract

Stable wavelength cell switching operation with tunable DBR-LD has been demonstrated employing novel shadow tuning technique, in which active region injection current is reduced below threshold before changing injection current into DBR region.
