Abstract
The effect of CO2 laser focused radiation (the wave length of 10.6 μm, power density of 103-105 W/cm2) on melted quartz and silica contained minerals - nepheline KNa3 [AlSiO4]4, microcline K[AlSi3O8], kaolinite Al4 [Si4O10](OH)8, etc., has been investigated. The materials mentioned above undergo the laser radiation in the low frequency rang of ungomogeneously broadened infrared absorption line of asymmetric valent Si-O-Si vibrations.
