Uniaxial Fiber Bragg Grating based Accelerometer

Abstract

A uniaxial accelerometer based on fiber Bragg grating is designed and experimentally demonstrated. The accelerometer exhibit a linear response with high sensitivity. The sensitivity of about 306 pm/ g is achieved for a particular cantilever mass arrangement.
