Abstract

The 585.25-nm $3 p' {[1 / 2]}_{0} - 3 s' {[1 / 2]}_{1}^{0}$ neon laser line was pumped with a chopped beam of 120-MeV ³⁵Cl⁹ ions from the Munich Tandem Van de Graaff accelerator. This work is part of a research program on heavy-ion-beam-pumped lasers with the goal of developing short-wavelength lasers. Work on an All line is also reported at this conference.
