Abstract

The 585.25-nm 3p[1/2]03s[1/2]10 neon laser line was pumped with a chopped beam of 120-MeV 35Cl9 ions from the Munich Tandem Van de Graaff accelerator. This work is part of a research program on heavy-ion-beam-pumped lasers with the goal of developing short-wavelength lasers. Work on an All line is also reported at this conference.
