Improving Measurement-Device-Independent Quantum Key Distribution in Turbulence Through Dynamic Attenuation

Abstract

We propose a scheme to tether transmittance fluctuations due to atmospheric turbulence that significantly improves the Hong-Ou-Mandel visibility and secure key rate in free-space measurement-device-independent quantum key distribution under turbulence.
