The generation of high harmonics was aided by a coated bow-tie nanoantenna

Abstract

We study the spectral properties of high-order harmonics emitted from argon atoms in the gap of a metal bow-tie nanostructure coated with a high thermal stability dielectric layer on a sapphire substrate. This layer protects the gold nanostructure from thermal damage.
