Abstract

It is expected that high-resoltuion, solar-occultation, infrared spectra obtained from satellite-borne instruments will allow simultaneous measurements of the vertical mixing ratio profiles of many atmospheric gases. Any method used to retrieve these profiles should maintain the vertical resolution of the experimental data.
