Abstract
There is a growing need to detect complex molecules under a variety of environmental conditions. The following are pertinent examples of this problem: 1. Carcinogenic aromatic effluents from coal conversion plants; 2. Chemical warfare agents in the battlefield; 3. Toxic chemicals leaching into the water supply; and 4. Aromatic drug precursors in the vicinity of clandestine stills.
