Enhanced second harmonic generation using slow light in AlGaAs microring resonators

Abstract

Highly efficient SHG can be achieved by harnessing slow light effects in microring resonator structures. We propose an angular quasi-phase-matching scheme based on polar dependence of polarization inside the ring resonator.
