Abstract

Semiconductor lasers have been widely used for coherent light sources of various application systems. But the lasing wavelength hops from one longitudinal mode to another as the temperature changes. So applications are restricted for those which require precise control of their wavelength, for example high resolution spectroscopy. In order to obtain the temperature stability, we have developed new-type composite-cavity semiconductor lasers which are very simple to fabricate.
