Abstract

Materials with periodically-patterned nonlinear susceptibilities offer qualitative improvement in nonlinear frequency conversion devices. Methods for patterning ferroelectric materials, generation of UV, visible and tunable IR radiation, ultrafast QPM nonlinear optics are discussed.
