Plasmonic Gas Sensor based on Graphene Sheet and Trapezoidal Nanotrenches on Silver Substrate

Abstract

Trenches introduced in a two-dimensional grating, filled and covered with Si3N4. The graphene sheet leads to perfect absorption at 672 nm where the surface plasmon mode shows a sensitivity of 440 nm/RIU in gas-sensing applications.
