Evaluation of the Durability of Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors in Lithium-Ion Pouch Cells Over Six Months

Abstract

Temperature monitoring of lithium-ion batteries is very important because aging is temperature dependent. In this work, we integrated fiber B ragg g rating (FBG) sensors into a pouch cell and evaluated the stability of the sensitivity over a period of six months. The FBGs were calibrated once a month. Good stability of the fibers was found.
