Abstract

We present direct measurements of attosecond delays in the emission of extreme ultraviolet pulses from high harmonic generation in different gases using an inline interferometer. Relative to argon, we measure a delay of -22 ± 8 as for krypton, -71 ± 8 as for xenon, 65 ± 3 as for nitrogen (N2) and 33 ± 3 as for carbon dioxide (both unaligned).
