Abstract

In recent years much valuable information on the dynamical behaviour of dissolved flexible molecules has been obtained from measurements of picosecond and nanosecond fluorescence and absorption kinetics [1 - 3]. Our attention in this field has been concentrated on the question of conformational requirements for fluorescence quenching, leading to exciplexes or radical pairs, and on the mechanisms of electron back transfer.
