Abstract

Donor-acceptor (DA) pair line luminescence in semiconductors1 is both useful as a materials probe, and, in view of the analogy of the pairs to diatomic molecules, it is also of interest as a quantum chemical system. In the present paper we consider, for ZnSe, both aspects: using an improved value of the dielectric constant obtained from a re-analysis of literature data, we check agreement with quantum models.
