Abstract

We report the experimental observation of the 5,9 GHz hypersonic wave generation by interferention of picosecond light pulses during degenerate four-wave mixing (DFWM) in organic dyes solutions. Phase conjugation on standing hypersonic waves and the one by DFWM have been observed. Phase conjugation quality and backward wave (BW) signal dependence on pump energy have been measured both for DFWM and diffraction by hypersonic wave (DHW).
