A Diode Pumped Picosecond Oscillator at 1053 nm

Abstract

We report on the development of a novel diode-pumped modelocked laser oscillator operating on the 1053 nm transition in Nd:YLF. The device has been used to generate 1.6 ps pulses for injection into a high power Nd:glass laser system producing multi-terawatt output using Chirped Pulse Amplification (CPA) techniques [1].
