Abstract

Ultrafast nonlinear optical response in photoexcitations in polydiacetylenes (PDAs), polythiophenes (PTs), and a substituted polyacetylene were investigated. The decay kinetics are discussed in terms of self-trapped exciton (STE) and a soliton-antisoliton pair. [1-3].
