Disentangling many-body effects in the coherent optical response of a 2D Semiconductor

Abstract

We fully disentangle Coulomb-induced band-gap renormalization, excitation-induced dephasing and Pauli blocking effects, from the transient optical response of monolayer WS2. A complete picture of the coherent optical response is quantitatively reproduced by microscopic calculations.
