World's First XG-PON Field Trial

Abstract

This paper describes the world's first field trial of XG-PON, which can deliver 10 Gbps downstream and 2.5 Gbps upstream to residential or business customers, and confirmed XG-PON's co-existence with a commercially deployed GPON system.
