Halo resulting from diffuse scattering of a laser beam at the bottom of a tank of water and re-incidence of scattered light on the bottom after reflection from the underside of the water surface. The inner radius of the halo determines the depth and the halo is distorted by surface waves. For details, see Dolin, pp. 1555–1561.
