Questions of constructing lightened primary mirrors of space telescopes

Abstract

This paper discusses the main requirements on the primary mirrors of space telescopes and features of their design and fabrication. Results of calculations for primary mirrors fabricated from various materials and having various lightening structures are given. A version of the construction of a mirror-attachment support is presented.
