Abstract
This paper proposes a spectrophotometric assay method of determining iron and copper in
solutions involved in the rinsing of the thermal-power equipment of thermal and nuclear power
stations. It is shown that the use of this method shortens the time to carry out an analysis
by a factor of 20?30 by comparison with conventional methods, with a 5% error in the
determination of iron and a 2.5% error in that of copper. The detection limit of iron and
copper is 0.02 mg/dm3.
