Abstract

This paper discusses the possibilities of using a layer of cholesteric liquid crystal to amplify the rotation of the plane of polarization of a plane electromagnetic wave. The influence of the system's optical and structural parameters on the amplification of the rotation of the plane of polarization is investigated.
