In our paper [1] we were careless in our wording of the sentence “A simplified schematic of our proposed single channel imaging receiver is depicted in the inset of Fig. 1”, In particular, use of “our” instead of “the” has unintentionally created the impression that the scheme used in [1] was first proposed by us. In fact, it was originally proposed by Drs Castillo-Vasquez and Puerta-Notario [2], as we have acknowledged previously [3]. In addition, in [3] the low bit-error-rate (BER, <10−12) measurement results were insignificant since only a few errors were counted. However, all other BER results were valid. The experiment has been redone and similar results were obtained. In [1], the new experimental results were presented.
