Abstract
Ti:Al2O3 laser with 5 W average power and 40% efficiency have developed at doubled Nd:YAlO3 laser pumping (lambda = 0.54 micrometers, f = 7-10 kHz, Pout = 13 W). Flashlamp-pumped Cr:GSGG laser with output energy 0.1 J at 12.5 Hz prodected to color centers formation induced by UV pump light to provide 105 shots was designed. Cr:YAG laser with tuningrange 1.35 -1.45 micrometers at 1.06-micrometer laser pumping has developed. Laser action on the 3T2 - 3A2 transition is due to the Cr4+ ion in tetrahedral sites of YAG lattice. An important role of 3T2 excited-state absorption has been noted. An overall efficiency of 7-8% was obtained at quasi-cw ND. YAG laser pumping at T= 300 K.
